I'm NOT sad

This 3D animation was built on theme of understanding and I qickly connected the it to feelings. Understanding my emotions or having others misunderstand my reactions is something I've struggled with. Having heard multiple times that I'm over emotional or being asked why I am crying when, to others, there's no apparent reason. 

But most of the time I'm not sad, sometimes the feelings are just overbearing and it dosen't matter if I am angry, happy or overwhealmed whey all show as tears. So I wanted to show how day to day life can be exhausting and hard to cope with emotionally.

The Characters

A short time into the project I realised that I wouldn't have the time to model my charcters one by one. 

So I looked into MetaHuman by Unreal Engine and tried to find a workflow that could help me tranfer the meshes from Unreal to Cinema 4D. There wasen't a straight forward  way of doing this, but I just needed to find a way to get my characters in an FBX-format. I didn't want the hyper realistic materials.

Once I had what was needed I added some details, eyebrows, eyelashes and switched out the eyes. 

I used mixamo.com to rig and weight my characters.

The World

I wanted to create an eerie atmosphere and use an empty space to give the viewer a feeling of lonliness.
